Welcome to those people new to this email list, my monthly update & where I am, what I'm doing, and more!

UPDATE ON THE (STICKY) SITUATION:
Last month I reported that the "first edition of my Sticky Situations CD is almost sold out". No need to worry, you can still get copies. It just means that the office full of CD's I had in May of last year is almost gone. It also means that we will have another office full soon when the 2nd printing (or pressing) arrives shortly. I don't know why I measure CDs by the office, but it gives you an idea of how many are now out there, or how small my office is.

In the past I have mentioned which libraries across Canada carry Sticky Situations. I have a few more to report today. If you have a cousin or friend in one of the following towns (or live there yourself), spread the word that my CD has recently been made available at libraries in:
- Ontario: Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Barrie, Markham, Cambridge, Oshawa, Waterloo, Kingston, Sudbury, Collingwood, Woodstock & Ajax
- Alberta: Red Deer & Sherwood Park
- BC: Richmond & West Vancouver
- Saskatchewan: Regina

UPDATE ON THE NEXT SITUATION: VOLUNTEERS FOUND
Also last month I asked for volunteers to help select the songs that will go onto my next kids' CD (known simply as CD2 for now). Thank you to all the families who expressed such enthusiasm to help with this process! I have a lot more volunteers than I was expecting, so this should be an interesting experience for all of us. The rest of you will just have to wait a little longer to hear the newer songs, or come see me perform...

TOMORROW: Saturday April 9 Surrey, BC. Spring Preschool & Family Festival. Tom Binnie Park Community Centre. Information & Entertainment for families with preschoolers. This was fun last year, so I'm happy to be back. Come join us! Event is 11am-3pm. I perform 1:30 - 2:30pm. Free Event. 

Sunday April 10 Bowen Island, BC. Bowen Island Children's Spring Carnival. Bowen Island Community School. For more info call 604.947.6976 or email: bowenfun@hotmail.com Event is 10am-4pm. Parents’ admission is free. $10 per child over 3 years old and only $8 for Family Place members. Fundraiser for Bowen Island Family Place & War Child Canada.

Thursday May 12 Surrey, BC. Grand Opening Party for Child Care Options' Early Years Centre. 6878 King George Hwy. I had a sneak peek at the new facility this week. It's wonderful! More info about this event next time.

Thursday June 2 Surrey, BC. 1st Annual Surrey Children's Festival Bear Creek Park (88th Ave. & King George Hwy). Come see me perform on the Community Spirit Stage with the Sticky Jam Band and surprise guests too! We perform 11am - Noon, and the show is FREE! If your school group is coming, make sure you save some time & energy to sing and dance along at one of our shows! Come up and say Hi after too! 

Friday June 3 Surrey, BC. 1st Annual Surrey Children's Festival. Bear Creek Park (See above). Again performing with the Sticky Jam Band and surprise guests! Show is 2pm - 2:40pm and is also FREE!

UPCOMING CLASSES & WORKSHOPS 

Wednesday April 20 and Thursday April 21. 3:30-4:30pm. Cartooning for Kids as part of the "Create Like a Master" series. South Delta Library 1321A - 56th Street, Tsawwassen. **SORRY FULL** 

Friday May 6 - Pro-D Day Workshops* at Clayton Heights Secondary 7003 - 188th St. Surrey. For more information & registration please call the Clayton Heights Continuing Education office at 575-0550 Register early as these filled up quickly last time!

*9am - 12noon Cartooning for Kids: Creating Characters
Have fun and learn easy ways to come up with your own funny characters. We will then put your characters into one-panel cartoons and greeting cards. Bring paper, pencil, and eraser. Ages 7-12 $19.00 Course # CH-2211501

*12:30pm - 3:30pm Cartooning for Kids: Comic Strips and Comic Books 
Have more fun and learn how to put your characters into a comic strip and your own comic book. We will discuss how to create your own superheroes too! Bring paper, pencil, and eraser. Note: Students are NOT required to take the morning class in order to attend this afternoon class, but may want to take both as different topics are covered. Ages 7-12 $19.00 Course # CH-2211511

Saturday & Sunday May 28 & 29 - 1-4pm each day. 2 Day Cartooning for Teens workshop at the Surrey Art Gallery/Surrey Arts Centre 13750 - 88 Ave. Learn drawing styles, techniques and tools employed by professional cartoonists, comic book artists and illustrators. To register call 604-501-5566 . 

That's about it for now. I have lots of cool things in the works for this summer too but I don't want to spoil all of the surprises yet...
